Philip Elway has extensive experience in the development, production, distribution and financing of motion pictures, television programs and other media productions. He has been a theatrical business affairs executive at major studios (Columbia and Warner Bros) and several independent production companies (Scott Free, Aldamisa, Tribeca Productions, Douglas-Reuther Productions, Relativity Media, ReelFX and Endgame Entertainment). When he’s worked at those film companies, he has consistently been the executive handling television matters, thereby expanding the scope of his experience. He has executive produced 11 films, all made with major film directors (Steven Soderberg, Todd Haynes, Matt Reeves, Kevin Smith, Frank Oz and Jon Favreau). As part of his involvement with film financing, he has placed more than $1B in motion pictures. In his many positions in the industry, he has performed both business and legal functions, handling short and longform documentation on above-the-line, below-the-line and rights transactions.
