Michael Purleski handles legal affairs matters for scripted and unscripted content at television production studios, including drafting and negotiating writer, producer, director and performer agreements, as well as rights acquisition agreements and other development and production services agreements. He has created rules and risk-mitigation solutions for unscripted competition programs and has managed content distribution, merchandise licensing, and audience participation initiatives for program brands. Prior to roles at CBS Studios, Starz and Pilgrim Media Group, Michael litigated commercial and intellectual property disputes at an AmLaw 100 firm.
Michael has substantial experience in trademark prosecution, having acted as attorney of record for dozens of trademark matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and its Trademark Trials and Appeals Board. Graduate of Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. Proudly wears a University of Michigan Wolverines jersey at the snowboard parks (Go Blue!).
