Alicia Newman handles below the line production legal review, as well as clearance for motion pictures, including script clearance, review of dailies, main and end title credits review. She also drafts option/purchase rights agreements, writer, producer, termination and loanout conversion agreements, as well as amendments for above-the-line personnel including series regulars and executive producers. Alicia has experience analyzing above-the-line agreements of series regulars, executive producers, pilot directors and guest actors for episodic series and drafts paid ad and derivative rights memos reflecting talent restrictions and obligations. She also conducts separated rights analysis of current episodic series productions. Prior to joining Film & Ink Alicia worked as an intern at Paramount Pictures where she honed her skills in license, distribution and digital rights agreements. Alicia earned her LLB from The University of Warwick Law School and her LLM from UCLA School of Law.
